What is ozone?
Ozone is a very active form of oxygen. It is formed when oxygen is exposed to a high-energy field causing some oxygen molecules (O2) to break down to oxygen atoms (O). The oxygen atoms (O) then react with the oxygen molecules (O2) to form ozone (O3). Notice that this is a reversible reaction meaning that ozone can decompose back to oxygen.
Characteristics:
(1) Convenient all in one system: Generating, sourcing and cooling system;
(2) PSA (Pressure Swing Absorption) system feeding high oxygen;
(3) Dry air system which feeding high quality dry oxygen;
(4) Patent ceramic ozone generators with high quality material and long life;
(5) High ozone concentration and oxygen saving;
(6) IGBT Power to generate strong electric field and corona discharge;
(7) Generating units of module style keep them easy maintenance separately;
(8) Both electrodes cooling system keeps ozone output with high stably;
(9) Advanced automatic time control to run without labor watch.
Feeding Source Classes:
(The material gas to generate the ozone is the oxygen which usually includes the clean air, pure oxygen and ambient air, so the oxygen concentration, flow capability, dew point and impurity percent will affect the ozone output clearly and certainly the proper air source will run the machine with stable ozone output and long life. Below the four styles. )
(1) A style (rich oxygen): Places of high ozone concentration such as purified water, mineral water and disinfecting water;
(2) B style (dry air): Places of low ozone concentration and high flow such as space disinfection, machine and food rooms, tap water, swimming pool, aquatic water, production recycling water, supercritical water and polluted water;
(3) P style (industrial oxygen): Places of high ozone purity and concentration but low flow such as laboratories;
Applicable Areas:
(1) Drinking Water, Waste Water, Swimming Pool, Aquatics Water, Foods Workshop, Foods Process Equipment;
(2) Production Water, Spicery Catalyze, Paper Pulp Bleach, Biologic and Chemical Pollution, Plastic Membrane.
(3) The very reactive nature of ozone makes it the ideal oxidant for air and water treatment. Ozone will:
(4) destroy bacteria and viruses
(5) precipitate heavy metals (example iron and manganese) allowing them to be filtered
(6) eliminate colour from water (for example, like the yellowish colour caused by tannin)
(7) remove rotten egg smell from water (caused by hydrogen sulfide)
(8) oxidise organic compounds to form compounds that can be easily flocculated and filtered or to form water (H2O) and carbon dioxide (CO2).
(9) eliminate bad odours from air
Ozone Generator Selection
Ozone is generated by passing a high voltage alternating current (6-20 kV) across a dielectric discharge gap through which oxygen gas is injected. Setting aside the sales pitches from manufacturers, most practical generators are either low (50-60 Hz) or medium (200-1000 Hz) frequency. Medium frequency generators are generally considered better performers. It is often helpful to contact Pure Aqua in similar applications to finalize the selection of an ozone generator.
